The concept of gender deals with women's and men's place in society and social expectations from them. Gender relations vary from society to society and they are shaped in historical process. Academic studies in this area have expended after the establishment of 'Gender Studies Programmes' in the major universities;worldwide since the 1980s. The purpose of this congress is to provide a meeting ground for undergraduate students who are interested in this area, to enable them exchange information and publish their work, to raise awareness in gender issues, and to discuss the cultural differences in the generation and changes of gender related social constructions, as well as the interactions between gender and other phenomena.
